Review thanks to Mark Kunie

The crowd was large! I was in front row about 10 feet away from Robin. He came out with Twice Removed and people were going WILD!
Davey was in Great form this night, as were Robin, Dave and Pete. Seems like Davey almost tried to start a ruckus and get people to come up to the stage,. You can see the guys had a great fun time tonight.
After the main set he came out with Lady Love and when he did Daydream there were tears in my eyes. the sound coming out of the 2 heads and 2 4X12 cabs were amazing he was sounding great and the stage was sending out great vibes!
After the show Robin was absent a while. Davey, Dave and Pete came to edge of stage to autograph. then Robin came out to the Table where they were selling the T-Shirts. The house was packed, BUT by the time Robin came out, there were only about 30 people there in line to meet him. My wife did not attend the show But was able to get in when it was over. Robin was signing things and I was able to get a picture of me and Robin!!! WOW what an accomplishment for me. I have been a fan since the late 70's and now I have his Autograph, A chance to meet and shake with him and a PICTURE!!

Also bought one of the Green 2006 Tour shirts Picture Posted on your site!
On our way out of the casino, I looked over and in the middle of the casino I saw Davey and Dave B. at the bar having an after show cocktail. I was immediately welcomed as I approached the two gentlemen. They both were tired of course! And very polite and we chatted abit for about 30 minutes. I asked Dave B. about the new cd and was told with the tour extension It will be a while! OUCH!  Anyway I cannot wait to hear Robin and friends tonite on XM!   Also. My friends, Dave B and Davey P were such nice guys and I am proud, Even more now than ever to be a Robin Trower Band Fan!

I just wanted to tell you I saw robin live tonight in Annapolis  right next door were I live so it was so exciting to see robin live for the first time and was a night to remember, the place looks like it holds maybe 100 people but the crowd was really into every song he played and of course the classics were received very loudly and alot of happy people enjoyed themselves... it was nice to hear Victims Of The Fury live as well as Lady Love, there wasn't one song that I didn't like from the
set list.. and he opened with Twice Removed From Yesterday !!!!
Very cool..
I can see why you have gone to see him so many times as he still is great on guitar and his writing skills just keep getting better and better... I got too meet Dave Bronze after the show was over and he shook my hand as I told him he did a great job tonight and he smiled and said thanks for coming out, they will be coming back in
October for two nights, I think it's the 10th and 11th.. should be great as toinght was.. just wanted to let you know about the show and tell you that your website is the best around..  thanks and take care..

The Tour So Far
General comments about what the fans see and say :

I've been a fan for more than 30 years and I believe he is as good now as he has ever been.

This band makes Trower come alive. The best show I have ever seen him play in the last 20 years. We want more from these four.

I missed out on alot all these yrs, the show was great especially when they did Hannah WOW!

They were tight and Robin played great.

11 minutes of mesmerising ecstasy; great bass lines from Dave Bronze and drumming from Pete Thompson complimenting Robin’s playing.

Davey’s vocals were superb and Robin flashed several smiles at the other band members
as he played the hypnotic riffs and chords; the band was definitely connecting and enjoying the performance.

Dave Bronze was an unostentatious but great presence on the stage and he kept it all      together with his brilliant bass.

At one point it looked like he (Robin)was going to rock himself right into the crowd!

Dave's bass work on 'Daydream' are quite stunning

Robin and the boys took us on a journey

Pattison pours heart and soul into ‘Living out of time’.

... a stellar performance by Robin & Co.  with a 15 song set list that allowed the listener to experience RTB at their best. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

In the heart of downtown Cleveland, The House Of Blues was playing host to what “The Scene Concert Series” was calling “The Show Of The Week”.  I was thrilled to see the local trade paper offer such a glowing review:
“With an extensive repertoire of classic hits and album-oriented rock to his credit, Robin Trower is one of very few authentic ‘60s and ‘70’s blues rock guitar heroes keeping it alive today. He tours the world extensively, entertaining fans with memorable songs such as “Bridge Of Sighs”, “Daydream”,  “I Can’t Wait Much Longer”, “Too Rolling Stoned”,  and new material that becomes as enduring as the others.  Recently, Robin released his long-awaited CD, “Living Out Of Time”, which is appropriately titled, as it’s a brilliant display of just how timeless his music really is.”
This concert, their 6th consecutive performance in as many days, was as flawless as could be, the sound so crisp, the rhythm so tight, the guitar solos so fluid and the vocals so precise.  Wow! You could sense how relaxed and comfortable the guys were by their interaction with each other and, in some cases, their playfulness with one another. And the crowd was up for the gig, too.  What I really enjoyed was the relatively new beginning of the set list, with “Twice Removed”, then “Hannah” followed by “Roads To Freedom”.  The crowd really responded to these songs (and especially a ‘roar’ from the crowd on “Roads“)!

...................................

After the show, I overheard some of the gang joking about the schedule (“Who’s idea was it to schedule 6 nights in a row?”) but in spite of the somewhat grueling touring pace, you couldn’t tell it in the performance, which was another memorable ‘feast’ of music by “RTB”!
Robin, Davey, Dave & Pete, thanks for a wonderful evening! Thanks to Brad L. from Akron for sharing some space at the front. Special thanks to Davey, Laurie, & Bronzie for their hospitality! And special thanks to my friend Steve.  I had a great time!  Ron Love

Review
7/13/2006
House Of Blues
Chicago, Ill
Review and pictures thanks to Ken Carroll

Had a great time last night! HOB Chicago isn't set-up to easily facilitate Robin giving autographs from his traveling vehicle. I learned last night that Robin was giving autographs right in the main hall after the show, I think right by the merchandise table. Unfortunately, I learned this after me and the Mrs. had left the main hall and they would not let us back in even after explaining why we wanted back in (and still had our tickets.)
We were waiting outside trying to get an idea where we would catch the guys when we saw Pete, who strolled nonchalantly to the HOB motel and went in. Alas, I was not assertive enough in walking up and getting his attention. I realized I would have to be a bit bolder.
We walked back into the HOB lobby and saw Davey Pattison exit from the lower lounge. We followed after and barely caught him before he walked into the motel! I told him you said hi and he smiled and brightened up and said "He did, did he? Tell him we said hi."  When he saw that Mary had snapped a picture of him signing my LOOT Live cd, he put his arm around me, and looked up so Mary could get another shot of us properly. Thanks Davey for being such a good sport!

 ..................
We went back to the lobby where we then caught Dave Bronze coming down from the main hall that we couldn't get back into. I addressed him as "Mr. Bronze" as he stepped over the security ropes to which he smiled and was very nice to both of us. He started signing the cd (and I told him you said hi too) and when he saw Mary with the camera he got my attention with "Picture, picture!" and put his arm on my shoulder for another wonderful shot of me looking "thrilled" with one of my favorite Trower band members!  I finished explaining that I was fond of his "Beyond the Mist" era work with Robin. He smiled, nodded his head, and replied "Did you like tonight's show?" I told him it was
awesome and thanked him for allowing me to stop him. He turned to Mary, smiled, held out his hand, did a slight curtsy bow, and asked her the same thing before he left us. Thanks Dave!

We waited till almost 1:30 for Robin to appear and finally could not wait anymore. But I am as big an admirer of this line-up of Robin's band as I am of the man himself and drove the hour and 15 minute or so ride home very content!
Had I seen Robin, I was going to mention that I had read the recent interview where he said no-one had requested songs from "In City Dreams" and that he liked "Go My Way" and that me and Mary would love to hear "Bluebird" or "Sweet Wine of Love" or for that matter, anything from that album, and I also loved "Go My Way", especially "Into Dust" and "Long Hard Game". That was my after concert adventure Steve, here's the actual review!!!
There was someone letting go of balloons at the beginning. We got there early enough to get my favorite spot on the wooden floor where I had stood the other times in the 90s to see Robin. The floor was very sticky!!  Eric Geraldi hit the stage at about 8:40. HOB Chicago was a full house and afterwards we saw signs in the lobby that the show was sold out. Eric started strong with some great lush guitar chording and strong leads, but his songs following were shallow and he resorted to songs about divorce with a lot of swearing and lost us. He did generate some enthusiasm at first....
Robin came on with the line-up I had seen 4 times in the 80s and was very excited to see again at about 9:50!! Same set list as recently, I was able to name off the songs as they came pretty much, except I forgot that "Go My Way" was on the set list, and got excited when Davey announced that one! I loved the mix! I could hear everything very clearly and I was reminded of how powerful this line-up is together! It brought back fond memories of the shows I saw in the 80s. These guys play well together and are a lot of fun to watch! They all shine together!!
Robin tried very hard to prompt some crowd response to Davey's singing after "Another Time Another Place which Davey stated as a favorite. He pointed at him much the same way Davey points after Robin's longer solos which absolutely shined! I could identify a lot of familiar licks at the end of "Too Rolling Stoned" but there was some fresh stuff in there too. I was SO glad to hear such a drastically different set list this tour and what a great one it is! Mary noticed the harmony stuff on "Victims of the Fury" between Davey and Dave. I have went on record before as saying I prefer to hear more songs and less lengthy solos but I have to say that the longer solos is where Robin really shined. He has
managed to keep the old work horses alive and well!! "Bridge of Sighs" and "Daydream" are STILL awe inspiring. I really enjoyed the inclusion of "Another Time Another Place" and "The Past Untied" (which I also saw him premier with Richard Watts back in 2001). Sweet stuff!
Well, I could go on and on, but its time for me to go to work!
